Land Surveyor

Full Time Position

Position Summary:

Make exact measurements and determine property boundaries. Provide date relevant to the shape, contour, gravitation, location, elevation, or dimension of land or land features on or near the earth’s surface for engineering, map making, land elevation, construction, and other purposes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
  • Verify the accuracy of the survey date, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
  • Record the results of surveys, including the shape , contour, location, elevation and dimensions of land or land features
  • Calculate height, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
  • Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements
  • Adjust surveying instruments in order to maintain accuracy.
  • Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using theodolites, transits, levels and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS)
  • Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Valid drivers license
  • PC literate

Land Surveyor Helper

Full Time Position

Position Summary:

Excavator/Track-Hoe Operator

We are seeking potential candidates who are enthusiastic, safe workers and must be self-motivated to work without much supervision. The individual selected for this position will be performing a variety of jobs and duties, these duties will include operating heavy equipment on the project site property.

Responsible for:

  • Operates mid to large sized Excavating Equipment for laying and backfilling for water sewer and storm drain lines.
  • Observes markings on ground, hand signals, or grade stakes to remove material when operating machine.
  • Signals directions and warnings to coworkers.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and specifications, survey markers and stakes
  • May operate hoe equipped with laser leveling equipment.
  • Inspects equipment for deficiencies, such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuses, and fluid level and submits report indicating equipment condition.
  • Adheres to all Swell Construction Group Inc. safety policies, procedures, and instructions from management.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of experience in operation of trackhoe equipment                             (Cat 320, 345 or 385); OR,
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanics

We are looking for a FULL TIME Heavy Equipment Mechanics with a strong diesel experience.

  • A minimum of 7+ years experience in diesel & gas engines light/medium/heavy duty trucks.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Electronic/Computerized diagnostic software a must.
  • Ability to work independently, Proficiently and ensure quality of work done meet highest standard.
  • CDL Required Class B
  • Hydraulic equipment experience a plus
  • 5 Years working in the field
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Drug Free Workplace
  • Cat and Komatsu Diesel experience preferred.

Potential candidates should be, dependable, honest, responsible with good time management and organizational skills.

MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY WORK WEEK 40+

PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Skid Steer Operator
